Just some fun facts about Valshun!

  • A group of Valshuns is called a Snarl.

  • The Average height for Valshuns is 7-8ft. (of course they can be shorter or taller this is just the average).

  • Valshuns are primarily carnivorous but have adapted to be able to enjoy modern day snacks. As long as they are getting enough meat in their diet they will remain healthy.

  • Their accent colors are bioluminescent and can glow.

  • They use the glow from their accent colors as a form of communication; hunting, affection, mating, emotions, etc.

  • Valshuns with no outward accent colors are uncommon and often are shunned.

  • They can wear clothes. Their clothes usually consist of something baggy so that it will not impede their movement. Shawls, jewelry, accessories, scarfs, etc are common forms of clothing.

  • It is common for them to style their manes. Cutting, dyeing, braiding, beads, etc are common.

  • Their manes can be different textures. Curly, straight, soft, rough, scrungly, anything really.

  • They can stand either bipedal or quadrupedal with easy.

  • Litters of 3-4 pups is normal. So they often have large families.

  • Valshuns are ovoviviparous. Meaning their embryos develop within their eggs inside of their mother, hatch, and then are born. (They don't lay their eggs).

  • They have been known to swallow their prey whole.

  • They bodies are of all shapes and sizes. Fat, skinny, scrungly, muscular, frail etc.

  • Any sexuality and/or gender is widely accepted and common within their culture.

  • They have a wide range of colors and patterns including 1-3 accent colors.

  • Their Mouth, eyes, and paw pads match their accent color(s).

  • Large teeth and long forked tongues.

  • They possess sensory whiskers and a specialized organ similar to a Jacobson's organ. This makes them very adept hunters and keen to their surroundings. Damage to either of these can impair their senses.

  • Their noses are soft and more comparable to a rabbit. They are not pronounced like a canine, cat, or deer.

  • They have nictitating membranes to protect their eyes.

  • Large non-retractable claws.

  • They do have dew claws on their feet.

  • Valshun mature into fully fledged adults around the age of 22, they are within the adult age bracket until around 170. After that they are considered elderly. 200 years old is pushing it for the oldest Valshuns.
